Dave McCusker is the founder of Zenthesia, the high-fidelity vibroacoustic sound therapy beds he handcrafts in Austin. He built the first one for himself because nothing on the market met his standard for tactile, powerful, full-body sound — and after a ketamine-therapy breakthrough became the seed for the design, he's spent his work since on frequency as medicine and coherence over optimization.
Dave is the kind of builder who couldn’t find the thing he wanted, so he made it himself — and ended up making it for the rest of us.
He created the first Zenthesia bed because no vibroacoustic system on the market was powerful or high-fidelity enough for him, and the breakthrough that shaped the design came in a ketamine-therapy session where he finally felt sound instead of just hearing it. That distinction ran through our whole conversation: vibroacoustic therapy delivers frequency as vibration moving through the body, reaching a depth headphones can’t. What stayed with me most was his case for coherence over optimization — the aim isn’t to biohack for performance, it’s to tune the human instrument so the whole system comes into resonance.
