Bryant Michael Huether · The Thrival Guide

Bryant Michael Huether, the Thrival Guide, is a self-acceptance advocate, coming-out coach, and world traveler who has lived across 34 countries. Out of a shy, perfectionist, small-town upbringing — and the grief and self-trust that reshaped his life — he helps people move out of survival mode and into a life that's genuinely their own.

Bryant calls himself the Thrival Guide, and once you hear his story you understand that he had to become one before he could offer it.

We met through the podcast, and he was unusually honest about the long road — growing up shy and perfectionist, the oldest of five in a small conservative town where everyone thinks they already know who you are; the tangle of sexuality and spirituality; coming out to his sisters and friends; and then his father passing suddenly, three weeks before a six-month trip he’d planned. He said withdrawing from his master’s program was the most empowering act of self-trust of his life — the moment thriving stopped being a concept and became a choice. What moved me was how he holds grief, naming it as the underrecognized force it is, not only in death but in every pivot and path-change a life asks of us.

When you’re carrying a grief no one’s naming, or you’re ready to stop surviving and actually thrive as the person you already are, Bryant is who I’d point you to.
