The one holding the room
Tyzen Drake (also Tyler) is writing A Handbook For Life: Walking the Path of a Chakaruna, and is the architect of the Tyzen Codex: a living map of human coherence built from twenty years of personal integration, facilitation, and pattern recognition. It's a map he keeps drawing from his own terrain, offered here as one way through, for the ones it fits.
Before the deep medicine journeys, Tyzen was Tech Tyler: building computers at age ten, thirty-one years with technology. An entrepreneur since fourteen, he invested over 20 years in heārt-centered entrepreneurship: founding and growing epic retail businesses, generating over $7M in revenue, and six Tony Robbins events in two years, from the Business Mastery stage to the Unleash the Power Within firewalk. Along the way he discovered that people thriving in their unique ability creates self-managing organizations: no management needed, because we are operating in our inspiration, our spirit in action. Then nine years of deep immersion with the elders and nature-based peoples of Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Egypt: tribal immersions, hundreds of plant medicine journeys, and deep transformational facilitation. Arc one · The entrepreneur
I started building computers at ten years old. Thirty-one years with technology; they called me Tech Tyler. By fourteen I was an entrepreneur, and I spent the next two decades learning the way of the world and how to succeed inside that paradigm. Not all of it was pretty. A kiosk empire collapsed when I was twenty-three: ulcers, hair falling out, the first of three financial resets. Then Avanti Body Jewelry, a retail business I built and ran for fifteen years. Over $7M in revenue generated. Six Tony Robbins events in two years: on stage at Business Mastery, Platinum Partners, Date with Destiny, walking fire at Unleash the Power Within. And inside all of it, one discovery that still runs everything I build: when people thrive in their unique ability, the organization manages itself. No management needed, because we are operating in our inspiration: our spirit in action.
The hinge · 2017
In 2017 I sat with Ayahuasca for the first time. It was the beginning of the awakening: the unraveling of the programs and beliefs that had been imprinted on me, and the beginning of deep clarity about my soul and my mission in this incarnation. Then came the reconciliation: how I was living, how I was operating, how I was relating to my businesses, my friendships, my romantic relationships. That was the beginning of building the Tyzen operating system from first principles.
Arc two · The deep dive
From 2021 to 2024 I moved through more than twelve You:Transformed retreats, first as a participant, then as a co-creator. Arkadia in July of 2022. Burning Man that summer. A seven-day Joe Dispenza immersion that fall: thirty-five hours of meditation. Fit For Service in October. Envision in Costa Rica. Then Ayahuasca with the Yawanawá, which led me to Brazil: eight hours up the river into Acre with Chief Nixiwaka and Putani, feeling what real tribe is like, my western beliefs shifting, the seed of the wisdom of nature-based people taking root. Egypt for fourteen days, meditating in the paws of the Sphinx. The Andes with Quechua elders, where I learned the name for what I was becoming: the chakaruna, the bridge person. And from 2023 on, the turn from seeker to steward: co-facilitating the containers that had remade me.
It's not the what that matters nearly as much as the why. I'm a why guy: here to help you clarify and deepen your why, to exist and co-create in this lifetime.

Atchafalaya · Louisiana
Down in the Atchafalaya, where the cypress stands in black water, I watched sound become medicine. Bass as prayer, the studio as a maloca, the swamp itself as the teacher — with Savej and the Ancient Future Collective. The freestyler in me met the ceremony, and remembered they were never two.
2023–Now
The turn from seeker to steward. I began co-facilitating retreats and ceremonies, learning to hold the container for others the way it had been held for me. The medicine became a responsibility, not just an experience.
2025–Now
Peru & Colombia
Traversing the Sacred Valley with our Quechua elders. Into the heārt of the Chavín Temple, connecting with Titawanka. High into the mountains of Colombia, learning the spiralic nature of the Quechua vantage, and more of what it means to be a bridge person. A chakaruna. This is Soul Mission Activation — the Andean pilgrimage I now help guide.

Fourteen days in the land of Kemet. I watched the sun rise into my eyes while meditating in the paws of the Sphinx, and went deep underground into the mystery of the Osiris Shaft. The ancient future, made present.

Six weeks after Envision, an eight-hour boat ride up the river into the Sacred Village of the Yawanawá, led by Chief Nixiwaka and Putani. Deep in the Amazon, I sat with a lineage that remembers. Nothing was the same after.
